Dealing with grief and loss
Teaching given at the Vimalakirti Buddhist Centre in Singapore.
- Grief and loss are part of human existence
- Everything that arises changes and is impermanent
- Change is loss when lose something we do not want to lose
- Change is gain when get something we wanted or liked
- We have choice in how to respond to change
- Rejecting impermanence is rejecting reality
- Grief is a response to the change that we did not want
