Kindness and forgiveness

A talk given at North Idaho College in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, on October 10, 2011.

  • Cultivate compassion and kindness by working on our internal mind.
  • Self-centeredness is the source of unhappiness.
  • Cultivating kindness is a way to be wisely selfish.
  • Forgiveness is an act of dropping our anger.
  • Forgiving doesn’t mean we stay in a dangerous situation.
  • Taking and giving meditation as a way can take on the pain of others and reduce our self-centredness
