The most concise of the profound Perfection of Wisdom Sutras, the Heart Sutra was spoken for the benefit of those aspiring to become fully enlightened Buddhas for the benefit of all beings. Stating that all phenomena are empty of inherent existence yet exist dependently, it presents the Buddhist view of both the ultimate and conventional natures.
