Verse 12: Attachment to comfort

Our attachment to comfort causes us to make ludicrous demands on others, and only causes suffering to ourselves when our needs are not met.

Failing to put the teachings into practice is, in essence, stealing from those who support our spiritual life.

Working for a dishonest employer is difficult, but we do have the power to remove ourselves from the situation.

Even the wealthy can have a mind-state of poverty, unable to give for fear of loss, unable even to enjoy what they do possess.

Ignorance is a mind-state that makes us no better than an animal even though we are born in a human body.
