    • From Sadness to Altruism and Wisdom
      Wednesday, April 29
      7:00 – 9:00 pm

Even facing mundane disappointments can be quite jarring—let alone seeing the fleeting nature of the entire universe and our entire existence! However, Buddhist insights into the nature of suffering and impermanence are liberating, not depressing—if we take the further steps towards developing profound love and compassion, and, eventually, the liberating wisdom of interdependence.

Translation into Russian will be provided.

Over the course of this three-day non-residential retreat, Venerable Chodron will introduce the participants to the classic teaching on liberating our minds from the four types of reification called Parting from the Four Clingings – and to Arya Tara, who is the female embodiment of our own innate wisdom and compassion. Through listening to teachings, doing Tara practice, group discussions and walking meditation, participants will habituate their minds to all the key aspects of the path to awakening.

Translation into Russian will be provided.
