Dec 7, 2014 –
One Sunday a month, Sravasti Abbey opens its doors for Sharing the Dharma Day, an opportunity for newcomers and old friends to explore the Buddha's teachings and share in community fellowship through teachings, meditation, discussion, and vegetarian potluck lunch.*
Venerable Thubten Chodron will give teachings on Don't Believe Everything You Think, a commentary on The Thirty-seven Practices of Bodhisattvas by Togmay Zangpo.
People from all faiths and backgrounds can apply the principles explored on Sharing the Dharma Day to enhance their lives. Dress is casual (although we ask that you not wear shorts or tank tops) and all are welcome. Friendly curiosity and openness to learn are the only pre-requisites. Please join us!
*Please bring a dish to share. The Abbey community doesn't eat meat or egg dishes, onions, garlic, or radishes. Eggs in baked goods are fine.
