Celebration: Kathina Ceremony and Puja to End the Winter Retreat
April 11-12, 2015N/A
The kathina ceremony is widely celebrated in the Buddhist countries of Southeat Asia when lay followers make offerings of the four requisites—food, clothing, medicine, and shelter—to replenish the monastery’s supplies after the retreat. This joyful day will include a procession, making offerings, a vegetarian potluck, and Lama Chopa puja.
