Being realistic and compassionate

Part of a series of teachings given during the Green Tara Retreat in 2015. During this retreat Venerable Thubten Chodron taught from the text Precious Lamp in Praise of Bodhicitta by Khunu Rinpoche Tenzin Gyaltsen.

  • Having realistic expectations of sentient beings in samsara
  • Generating compassion for sentient beings under the influence of afflictions and karma
  • How compassion protects our mind and benefits us
  • Generating true compassion for ourselves and others
